Guidelines for Guest Authors

The process

Would you like to publish a guest post on our blog?

We are always happy to receive interesting guest posts about places around the world, as well as useful articles on other travel topics. This guide explains what we are looking for and how the process works.

    Pitch your idea

    Tell us about yourself and send us two or three specific topic suggestions.

  2. 02

    Create the article

    Once we approve your idea, prepare a unique, useful article with your own photographs.

  3. 03

    Support the post

    After publication, share the article and answer questions from the community.

Step 1

Before you contact us

  • Tell us a little about yourself and/or send us a link to your website or blog.
  • Send us two or three topic suggestions, including possible titles.
  • Read some of our existing articles to become familiar with our writing style and to check whether we have already covered your topic.
  • Your article should inspire, help the reader or solve a specific problem.
  • We only accept guest posts from bloggers or private individuals – not from SEO agencies or similar companies.

Step 2

If we like your idea

  • Send us your article as a text or Word file. A fully formatted HTML document is also welcome.
  • We only publish unique content and do not accept AI-generated content. Do not copy material from articles previously published on other blogs or websites.
  • Your guest post should be more than 1,000 words long.
  • Make sure the spelling, grammar and phrasing are clear and correct.
  • Use readable paragraphs and, where appropriate, subheadings to structure the article.
  • Please address the reader directly in a consistent, personal tone.
  • Provide at least three high-quality photographs of your own. Images must be at least 1,920 pixels wide and ideally use a 16:9 ratio of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels. You may also send us the original camera files for editing.
  • We do not accept Flickr images or photographs downloaded from other websites.
  • Images must not contain branding, logos or overlaid URLs.
  • Links to your blog are welcome in moderation. Please note that we mark these links as nofollow links.
  • We reserve the right to edit the content or add our own links.
  • You allow us to edit one of your photographs for the article thumbnail and use it to promote the article on social media.
  • You may also send us a short author bio and, optionally, a square portrait photograph.

Step 3

After publication

  • Share the published article on your social-media channels.
  • Return to the article regularly after publication to answer comments or questions, including those on our Facebook page.

Introduce yourself briefly and send us two or three topic suggestions. In the contact form, choose “Write a guest post or guest article” as the topic.

Pitch a guest post
